IPAQ 1950 alarming problem

I activated the wake-up alarm on my iPAQ and it did buzzed in the morning but the acknowledge pup-up never came up and now it is repeating the alarm from time to time, very weird. I did deactivate the alarm but it is still repeating the alarm, what to do? A registry hack, cold restart or something else?

How to do a cold restart? Is it reliable or is there a risk of loosing data or installed programs?

you are not alone my second hand purchased on thursday does that and it keeps flashing the light :( found no cure for it yet

I've heard occasional reports about this problem. Unfortunately, I don't know the answer. :( Perhaps the "notification database" is corrupted?

You may want to try a few Google searches to see if anyone has figured out how to fix it. Worst-case scenario would be to back up the device and to hard reset it.
