will magnetic leather clip damage pda phone?

I heard some say that magnetic leather waist case holder will damage smartphone or cellphone due to magnetization issue. Is this true?

No, there is nothing in the device that is that sensitive to magnetic fields. My K-Jam even comes with a magnetically latched case. They snap prettty good when you let the cover go. No problems at all. Used magnetically latched SENA cases for years too.
