hello my friends
i wanna know if the compact phone and camera in i-mate jamin deserve sacrificing the great performance of axim x51v (as i heard) and what about jamin performance compared with axim x51v cause my roof is $600
and please does any one know the prices of the 2 devices in the states (the best price)?
thanks in advance

First of all, you're comparing a Phone Edition with a typical QVGA screen (JAMin) to a regular Pocket PC with VGA screen (x51v) so ask yourself, are you looking for a new phone or a powerful PDA? The x51v, besides having a fast processor (624MHz) and VGA screen also has BOTH SD and CF slots so you can boost your storage and add-on card potential considerably right there. Therefore, the JAMin would only be a good choice if you wanted convergence, which is up to you to decide. Many would sacrifice nicer specs just so they can hold 1, instead of 2 devices. For me personally, I would get a phone edition device as my next PPC just so I can have it all in one package.

Regarding performance (processor-wise), I think the 200MHz on the JAMin is pretty good for most non-gaming and non-emulation tasks. You will probably have trouble using Skype though but for most other purposes, it should be okay. You probably can't tell much difference when you're typing a document in Word or checking e-mail.

but you know i want every thing in one thing but my main interest is e-books ,games,mp3 video things and the gap betwen my interests and jamin performance is big and i have limited resource for the fancy ppc so i think i well get the axim one
and do you have any other recommendations

I don't think you'll be disappointed with the X51v, if you're not able/willing to get a Phone Edition. I think the screen is great, it's plenty fast and has both SD and CF slots in a very thin design.
