I'm beginning to understand now why Palm's modifications were raved about by most users - they sound like Palm has put a lot of thought into using Windows Mobile devices as true phones. Check out the review and see if you agree!

It was a good a review. I will also echo, that I hate the proprietary connectors on the Treo, though I am guessing Palm kept them the same as the older Treos for those "Palm" users upgrading to a newer device. I know there was a time Palm had a different connector for every device and people had began complaining very much about this on forums and to Palm. Even a popular Palm website during the day wrote a big store about this and shortly afterwards Palm made a statement that they would more or less standardize the connections they use so the same peripherals will work on most of the devices they upgrade too.

Also, unlike "thin" phones, the Treo fits in your hand, and in the palm of your hand. Most "thin" phones do not fit in the palm of your hand, but are held with your fingers and IMO isn't as comfortable. Back during the first Treo when Handspring released it, I also recall several articles explaining the in-depth research they went through to find that perfect feel of what and how a phone should feel from people and was one of the reasons why the Treo I believe has kept it’s weight and size. Personally I have played with Motorola’s Q, and though it was very impressive, it lacked the same comfortable feel I have from my Treo when I am using it as just a phone.

The one area which the review seemed to ignore, was the lack (or was it added to the 750?) of the traditional voice record function found on all Pocket PCs and windows mobile devices. It's funny, you can always tell the people who use that function vs those who never, ever do. Whether you or I use that function it should still be an option to use for anyone else. Besides, if you really want true ONE HAND operation from your Treo/smartphone device, than including this function is just plain needful, because each of use will always have a moment where we need to jot something down, but just can't use the thumboard/stylus to do so at that moment. Well surprise, that’s when the voice record function becomes valuable.
