Hello, first as this is my first post let me say I did a search and found that all the other threads didn't sound like the problem I had so I had to ask. Second, thanks to anyone who helps and so far reading the boards I see I will enjoy my time here.

Problem...

I thought I had a back up for my PPC, but I cant seem to locate it. Now, I had to do a hard reset and all my data is still in my desktop. Is there a way to move my files around to let my desktop be forced to synch with my PPC as it only goes to guest now, or do I have to start over? Thanks in advance.

Since you're "starting over," you may need to delete the profile you established in Activesync. On your desktop, open Activesync and go to FILE > DELETE MOBILE DEVICE. You'll be prompted to save all the files (make sure you save them).

Then, you should be able to sync using the same device name as before.

If I do this would it basically restore the last stuff I had before?
