Has anyone ever gotten this program to successfully sync with money? I've tried to be good and enter all my transactions with their fast input app (very nice except the handling of the "." (decimal)

When i go to sync, none of the new transactions ever appear in MS Money. It seems as though the sync is one way: PC --> PPC.

Anyone have a different experience?

I don't sync it with anything personally. But i know there are people who have it working with money. Maybe some of them will read this and offer some advice.
Or you could try the support forum for finance.

Hello Dave,

Synchronization module doesn’t know anything about transactions created with Spb Finance Entry until main Spb Finance module import these transactions to the main data file.
This is not an obvious thing and it may be confusing. We know about it and plan to improve this part in one of the following updates.

For the moment to resolve the problem, please start Spb Finance and then do synchronization.

You also could post your questions in Spb Finance forum at spbdn.com

That was probably in the documentation I haven't read. My apologies. Now that I know how it works, I'll be sure to follow the steps until you resolve the defect.

Congrats on releasing another solid product!!
Dave.

Thank you, Dave!

This update is much faster and we implemented many user requests and fixes big number of minor issues. And I especially love the new feature Spb Finance Entry - the rouleau of coins appearing when new transaction is created.
I don't know have anybody noticed that or not, but - when payment transaction is created coins are going down, while new deposit transaction make them raise up =)

I tried this app earlier and had lots of synching problems so I let it lapse after the trial was up. I thought I'd give it another go with the new version, but oddly enough after installing it the app thinks I've already passed the 15 day trial limit. Apparently, they forgot to reset the trial countdown.

It would be really nice if on the Finance Entry app, after clicking on the Amount field, the dialog would have an entry mask of $xxxx.xx

That way, if I entered 2050 the actual amount would be $20.50. The decimal is in an awkward position for speed entry (which I imagine is the purpose behind this tool).

I use the program with Money 2006....and, it works flawlessly.

I have a Sprint PPC-6700 using the newly released 2.7 of Spb Finance.

I'll admit the earlier version 2.5 had problems with Money, but it was easily fixed by deleting a file and then re-syncing, but I have over 6300 transactions to sync back and it took like 20 minutes.

So far with 2.7, I haven't had a problem.

I like it so far, and since Money for pocket pc doesn't work on my device, it's really the only think out there.

I use my phone like a check book, and it's convenient to be able to put transactions in whenever I want to and then up load them (sync) to Money 2006.

I am new to PPCing, use Quicken on my desktop and have two data sets, personsl and business. Pocket Quicken on line says that it can't handle (synchronize) two data sets properly. Does anyone know whether SPB Finance can do this? In other words, so I when I am on the road I can enter data in either the personal or the business data set and synchronize properly with my desktop.
Thanks in advance

if your data is all in one quicken file it should/might be able to handle it. But if your data is in two separate data files it will not. Mostly because activesync won't let it. :)
There is a free 14 day trial if you would like to actually test it.

Would any of the other sync programs available be able to sync two data sets on Quicken from Ipaq to desktop? Or could this be done through a manual sync instead of automatic?

Would it work to use SPB Finance on the Ipaq for syncing with Quicken desktop for the personal accounts and Pocket Quicken for the business accounts?

possibly. do you have one quicken file on your pc? or is each data set it's own file?

Each data set is its own file.

i don't sync so i am not sure how you set it up.. the limitation still might be activesync. You might be able to open one date file in quicken, then set diary to sync then sync. then unplug, open the other data file in quicken and disable finance and enable pocket quicken sync and sync again.. :)

But i dunno.
