I am trying to load smartskey, the omap overclock and registry wizard onto a T-Mobile MDA. I've read a lot of posts saying to load them into the "main memory". But, I'm not sure, exactly, where to load them. I think somewhere under my device. But, under Documents and Settings (probably not) or Programs (or is that just for actual software programs) or Windows? Do I load them in a separate folder? Or, if under Windows, would they go in Programs under Windows (and in a separate folder)? Thanks.

You can put .exe files anywhere you like and make a shortcut in the start menu. The .cab files a tap will bring up an installation menu. Just follow the prompts.

If it's a standalone version (i.e., doesn't go through an installation process) I'd copy it to the Windows directory. That foder can get pretty cluttered, but it's the best place to put files you want your device to find quickly during startup (like a registry-impacting one).

Thanks. I loaded Smartskey (both the .exe program and the wordpad .txt file (for customizing the .exe program)) and the omapclock.cab files under a new folder I added under MyDevice/Windows/Programs, and they all work great. Thanks for everyones' help.
