<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.smarttech.fr' target='_blank'>http://www.smarttech.fr</a><br /><br /></div><i>"SmartTech is a tool of communication allowing the data exchange between a PocketPC or a Smartphone and a workstation on which is running a SSH server to access to files or databases on it. The system rests on a protected connection between PocketPC and the distant waiter. The interest of the project is to communicate from its PocketPC towards any type of architecture, in the only condition that is installed a SSH server on it. Thanks to an intuitive graphic interface (drag drop), you have the possibility of interacting with your waiter in all simplicity and in an entirely protected way."</i><br /><br />SmartTech looks like a pretty cool app, unfortunately I don't speak too much French (OK, I don't speak any French), so I couldn't do any more than check out the screen shots and wonder if it was even available. Anyone know more about this File Server over SSH product?

Well, my French is more than a little rusty, but I'll give it a try:

The text on the homepage (roughly) translates as:
SmartTech is a communication utility that lets a PocketPC or Smartphone exchange information with a SSH-server running on a workstation thus granting access to documents and databases.

The system is built on a secure connection between the the PocketPC and the remote server. The aim of the project is to communicate from a PocketPC with all types of achitecture, the only condition being an SSH server installed there.

Thanks to an intuitive graphical interface (drag 'n' drop), you can interact with your server easily and completely secure.

Behind the link "telechargements" (downloads or http://smarttech.free.fr/modules.php?name=Downloads), you can click on "Release" where you'll find several versions of the software ... well ... for download. The current version seems to be 1.3 http://smarttech.free.fr/modules.php?name=Downloads&amp;d_op=getit&amp;lid=9

I've just grabbed the .msi and will try it on my HTC Hermes. Let's see if SCP (or SFTP?) will be more comfortable than windows networking with my samba server.

P.S.: This was a German translating French in English so please please don't mind the language.

Thanks for posting about this. The interface is clunky and seems unfinished, but the price is right and SSH and SFTP both work on my HP iPaq rx1955.

A quick followup. I don't remember if I tested both uploading and downloading last month when I first tried this program, but I noticed last week that I can only upload files. When I choose SFTP, the terminal opens an SSH connection and thus doesn't accept GET or PUT commands. Transferring files must be done through the graphical browser, and it only displays the local files (the remote window is empty). So I can't select any files to download.

Anyone else notice this problem?
