Anybody knows about a Compact Flash card that supports EDGE & not just GSM/GPRS?

As far as I'm aware, quad-band GSM/GPRS CompactFlash cards are the best available.

There is an exception, and that is Vodafone W-CDMA CF Card (http://mb.softbank.jp/mb/en/product/connect_card/vc701/index.html), but it's only available to SoftBank customers in Japan.

Yup, you'll need to either buy a separate EDGE/ 3G phone OR upgrade to a (better) PPC PE phone (Wizard / TyTN).
