However, the Qstarz BT-Q810 was about as small a GPS receiver as I have ever seen and promised an astonishing 25 hours of autonomy. Could this little number be as good as the best SiRFstarIII unit out there?"</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/ekkie_ppcreviews_qstarz_btq810_gps_200610.jpg" /><br /><br />The Qstarz BT-Q810 promises to push the boundaries of BT GPS receiver limitations with 25 hours battery-life in a super small package. Check out the review if you're in the market for a receiver.

This device uses an MTK GPS module, not the SiRFstarIII.

I've seen this unit elsewhere but the name doesn't ring a bell... Rebranding, perhaps?

Someone seems to have hacked the PocketPCReviews website

We were indeed hacked into by some Turkish hacking group for political purposes (Armenia). It lasted a couple of hours but we cleaned it up pronto and safeguarded everything as much as possible...

By the way the article on the Qstarz mentioned that it is MTK-based and only talks about the SiRFstarIII in comparison.
Also, we mention that this unit has been rebranded by others so you may see different names...

Cheers,
Martin
