Scenario: at work, connecting to company wireless access point. Odyssey Client says I am connected and authenticated OK after entering username and password. Authentication with LEAP.

But PIE cannot open any page anywhere.

From a desktop PC at this company, when you open IE, you have to enter your username and password again. authenticating to the internet???

If anyone has a clue what our LAN Admin might be doing with this setup - fill me in --- and clues for going forward.

So, on opening IE on the desktop, I am probably authenticating to a firewall server... so what does that mean to me on the PPC. I need to set up a proxy on the PPC?

Certainly sounds like it. You can configure ptroxies through Start->Settings->Connections tab->Connections->Advanced tab->Select networks. You can use the pre-existing "My Work Network" configuration, or make your own.
