Way better than I expected. As I suggested in the previous Vega post, this is going to make a great home/car PC. I was shocked at how small it was when I opened it up... The other surprising thing is the battery life... I plugged in the battery at about 5pm and as I write this at 12pm, there is still 20% battery left. I estimate that I've been actively using it for well over 3 hours and the rest of the time the device was on but the screen was off. That's exceptional."

You may recall us posting on the release of the Raon Digital release last month. Carrypad takes it for a spin and from the comments above, seems to be rather impressed. Take a look and let us know if you think we finally have a worthy UMPC competitor to Sony or OQO within the same market segment.

This is a pretty slick device! It even looks good to take with me on lengthy motorcycle rides. For eMail, web and maybe some short term Word, the 500MHz processor should be fine. One word: WOW 8O

If it were $100 - $150 cheaper, it would be a no-brainer.

WIFI only using the USB stick kinda sucks. I'll wait until it can run Civ IV. then I'll pick one up. :D
