It comes complete with digital camera, multimedia capabilities and expandable memory. "</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/hansberry/2006/20060912-blackberrypearl.jpg" /><br /><br />It looks like RIM is going after the Windows Mobile market, especially the Q, with their latest release. In addition to the features common to all Blackberry's, the Pearl has:<br /><br />• Instant Messaging. <br />• Web browser. <br />• Camera. <br />• Media Player. Audio and video playback in a variety of formats.<br />• BlackBerry Maps™, the best way to find your way.* <br />• 64 MB of memory and expandable memory via microSD card.<br /><br />Both <a href="http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,213339,00.html">Fox News</a> and the <a href="http://ptech.wsj.com/archive/ptech-20060907.html">Wall Street Journal</a> have favorable reviews of the device. Of course, <a href="http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2095-2350227.html">Microsoft isn't going to let this one go unanswered</a>. ;)

Just can't wait for it to hit Germany. Hopefully T-Mobile Germany will sponsor this device.

Yep, I've been following the Pearl for a few weeks and I just got the email from T-Mobile today that it was released. I was actually planning on getting one, possibly two (one for my fiancee), so if I do, I'll let you all know how it is.

Oh, and here's the Gizmodo article (http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/cellphones/gizmodo-frankenreview-blackberry-pearl-8100-200244.php) about it, including a nice, big picture:

If anyone's interested, I did end up getting the Pearl and I posted a review over on my blog. Check it out if you feel so inclined. :-)
