Windows Mobile 2003 (both Pocket PC and Smartphone) move out of mainstream support on 14/7/2009 and Extended support will be retired 08/07/2014 so we basically provide a 10 year support lifecycle."</i><br /><br />You can find the official Microsoft support page detailing these facts <a href="http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?LN=en-gb&p1=11913&x=14&y=12">here</a>! Of course, this has no bearing on when the OEMs decide to stop supporting your device and for many of the service packs that Microsoft releases, we're often dependent upon the OEMs help make those service packs compatible. Nevertheless, you may find this to an interesting fact to ponder upon as we head into the weekend! ;)

Now that I've decided that selling my old Pocket PCs is a wasted effort (I always get less for them than I think I should, and inevitably 2 - 3 months later I wish I had them around to perform a specific function or just to play with), I'm glad that official MS support will be there.

Now I just need to have a problem that I'd need to turn to official MS support for... considering that a quick google search generally yields possible answers quicker than I can dial a phone.
