I seem to have a strange case that I don't see in any threads. I had installed WM5 and was trying to roll it back to WM2003SE when something happened and a DLL was missing. The 4700 ended up with a screen that shows the HP logo in the middle and "USB" ("Serial" when not cradled) at the top, and "v1.01" at the bottom.
Using the Contacts/iTask/reset does nothing and when I try this and then cradle it, run the Bootloader utility and select the hx4700_11008_ENG_RC_AKU26.nbf file, Bootloader does run (according to Task Manager) but then finally I get a mtty dialog box that shows "\\.\WCEUSBH001 port cannot open".
Any suggestions as to how to recover from this???
