This compact quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA Pocket PC has a 2.8" QVGA TFT-LCD, a 2.0-megapixel camera (and a secondary VGA camera for video calls), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 (with A2DP - can you believe it?), a miniSD slot, and Windows Mobile 5.0 (MSFP). Great device, eh? It looks like the HTC Prophet may already be heading to the retirement village. ;)

What the heck is "HTC extUSB"? There's at least one site that's claiming it's USB host/client.

If I'm not mistaken, it's the "special" name for HTC's all-in-one connector port (the one that provides sync, charge, and audio capabilities). Yes, that annoying one. ;)

Ooh...I have the XV6700 and I'm hoping a replacement comes to the states.

The question is which one do I prefer, the TyTN or P3600.
I actually like the keyboard on my Wizard, but P3600 is smaller...

Well, the reallity is I won't be able to afford/justify any of them, at least not this year.

Is not the Qtek S200 smaller than the P3600?
the height seems to have increased.

The dimensions are very similar.

S200: 108mm x 58mm x 18.2mm
P3600: 108mm x 58.2mm x 18.4mm

This really is a compact device. :D

Yes, it's the Trinity. And indeed, there is no GPS functionality built-in.

How come they put GPS on a device with 200MHz processor and no GPS on a device with 400MHz processor????
Are they nuts????
Well, let's wait for the first reviews and benchmark comparisons...

Why are they not stating the processor speed in their spec sheets? Is their an official reason for this or they dont want the focus on this feature?

It looks like an update to the JAMin, and we all know that was slooowww!.

Call and end buttons are way too small for accident free use.

Apart from that it is great size compared to my JAM.

If nothing has changed since the original product leak, then this device carries a capable Samsung 400MHz processor.

Will we see it in ASIA PAC specifically in Australia Darius?
It says Europe :-(
I like the P3600 but I really L.O.V.E the P3300 Artemis
It packs GPS and an FM radio micro-SD but I'm willing to compromise if it has A2DP too.
I still haven't quite purchased an O2 Atom Exec but I might hang out for this one if I know it's coming our way.

Yes, HTC has added new distributors in the Asia-Pacific region. We may also see a local Australian carrier sell this device in the near future (can't say who or when just yet).

Which would mean my HTC Prophet is not going into retirement.

We've seen Prophet and Wizard successors but still nothing to replace the Universal. :( I really hope something with VGA is in the works... I am liking the Excalibur though there are some great pics [by ID64] over at Smartphone thoughts thread side by side with other devices.

I was thinking this too - probably to do with battery life. The combination of a 400Mhz processor and GPS would probably kill the battery completely. So no Skype

I've been using gps navigation for 6 months on a 200mhz processor with no problems at all.
