Special Events Tab is ok, and if you use it on your phone the picture contacts are good as well as one hand dialing. the original version was pretty fast so I don't know how much faster you can get on a refresh. Unless you need picture contacts or a special events tab the older version is still the greatest piece of software on the market as well as the this newer version.

When I enable Show Photo Contacts, all my contacts that I attached a photo to end up at the top of the list on the Contacts tab. Is this supposed to happen?

yes.
If you sort by category they will be at the top of each category they belong in.

Yeah, I figured that out. It just seems odd to me. I was expecting the usual alphabetic sort, with the contacts that have pictures attached to show up in the usual position, just as a picture. Or even as a picture and the name, if you're using the Wide View setting.

The idea behind the photo contacts was to be kinda like the photo speed dial on the treo. So the pictures were placed at the top so yo could just touch them with your thumb and not have to scroll to find them.

I see. The only problem with that is I don't know anyone personally whose picture I want to see on any kind of regular basis. ;)

hahaha good point.
the only contact I even have a picture assigned for is my fiancé. I had to take a picture of one of my co workers just to see what it would look like with more than one picture.

needless to say I don't really use the feature and have it turned off to save memory. :)

Yes, Spb Diary 2.0 includes skin support. There should already be a "NewStyle" skin included, and they're not hard to make, so you can probably expect quite a few extra to surface at www.spbsoftwarehouse.com and www.spbdn.com in the near future.
