Sorry about my simply question... but I'm very undecided to choose an "instant text entry" software... from many time I use Calligrapher, but the results arent as I believe... So, I would like to test another software fot text entry... like Fitaly, TenGo, ecc...
What are your experience? What are your favourite input text software?
I really need a suggestion!
Stefano
PS: I have also heard about Fitaly that it is improve for anglo-saxon language (I'm Italian).. is it possible?
THANKS!

Now, I just use a thumbboard. ;) Before that, I used Fitaly, but you may be right -- I don't know how good Fitaly is for foreign and accented characters. I suggest you download trial versions and give them a shot.

FITALY does support all unicode characters, and you can probably configure it to offer special characters in a way that's convenient for you.

I use both Fitaly and TenGO Thumb. For whatever stupid reason, I can be nice and speedy using Fitaly one day then the next day, I'm hunting and pecking again. In those cases, I switch the input to TenGO Thumb and I'm back up to speed.
Both of these allow accented characters. I suggest downloading the trial versions and reading the respective manuals to see which one works better for you; I personally don't enter accented characters, as, well, the English language doesn't have many of those. ;)

Thank to all... Yesterday I tried Fitaly... I type on computer from many many years and I'm make used of QWERTY keyboard... so, I have typed veryyy veryyy slowly... There isnt been feeling... I'm finding many difficoulties to type correctly... Is it normal??? 8O 8O 8O
I also would like to try TenGO... 6 key... I think it is a good idea.
About Calligrapher... It's a great software, but I'm not be able to use it correctly when I'm up. On the table, instead, I'm be able to write with a good precision and the recognize is good.
So, I'll try TenGo... are there other person that make use of TenGo with satisfaction?
Thanks!
Stefano

Yes, Fitaly has a long learning curve. It took me a month of regular use before I got fast at it. Once you're fast at it, though, it's hard to beat.

I've found that handwriting recognizers are much worse than Fitaly, but they do have a much smaller learning curve.

Thank Janak! Now, I'm testing TenGO, and I think it's a very good software.
The learning curve is smaller respect Fitaly and the typing speed feel good.
Last but not least... I given up the handwriting recognizer because it's too much uncomfortabile when you havent a stable holder where you can lay the device!
Thanks!

And, as you've discovered, Tengo comes with some dandy dictionaries for non-English usage... so you can easily go from English to Francais to Espanol in short order.
