It happens to me every year or two - problem is, I don't see anything really compelling out there at the moment. I wouldn't mind a phone/PPC, but size and weight are a big concern. The best form factor I ever had was my old iPaq 4155. I traded that for an x50v which is a little bigger/bulkier than I like, but the VGA sucked me in.
Naturally, I want it all - WiFi, SD card slot, VGA, fast CPU, lotsa memory, small, thin, light, great display, great battery life... and something less utilitarian looking than the Axim. I almost wish Apple would market something - some of their hardware is beautiful. I've considered using my video iPod's calendar and contacts but I want more functionality than the iPod can offer in that department.
Is there anything really compelling in the pipeline? My Axim still works okay so I can wait a while... Maybe it's time to look at a Blackberry?
