I am looking to purchase this device. Tired of waiting for palm. What are your thoughts and experience on one handedness, keyboard, call quality, bluetooth call quality and anything else you can think of.
thanks

I was at a local WirelessWave store and I picked up their most recent flyer advertising the upcoming HW6955 soon! No pricing was listed as of yet. Here's the link for the online flyer: http://www.wirelesswave.ca/images/flyers/WirelessWave_BTS_Flyer.pdf

Also, Handheldcanada.com has an availability date shown as Sept. 10th, 2006 for this product.

I don't have one myself, but it's available in Australia, so I've played with it plenty of times. I'll try to answer your questions in a nutshell.

One-handedness: It's good. With an integrated non-sliding keyboard, you can type with one hand, rather than using two to slide the keyboard out and type. In the hand, the unit feels solid. Not too big, not too small.

Keyboard: Much like a few of the 'berries and the hw6900's predecessor, the hw6500 series. The buttons aren't too small, but if you have oversized digits, you may accidentally press the wrong button. Definitely give it a trial run in a store before buying one. As for additional keys (such as OK, Start, soft keys, etc.), they are included, so the one-handed and stylus-free navigation experience is made easier.

Call quality: Never got to try this, unfortunately. I do know someone with an hw6900 series device. I'll get in touch with him and ask him what he thinks of it.

I have been looking at purchasing my first WM Phone. I have had various non-phone PPC in the past. After a lot of consideration I have decided that I too want the HP hw6900.

I have heard a rumour that cingular and t-mobile are supposed to start offering this phone starting this weekend.

Anyone else hear this?

I just sent my 6915 back. I did not like the square screen. I also thought it felt "light", not a solid feel and very plasticky too. I've just ordered a ETEN M600+ instead.
