I just received my new Fujitsu Loox n560 (http://www.clove.co.uk/viewProduct.aspx?Product=A6D829AB-509F-4F4E-A839-F851F2A405DB&Category=DB363A1F-0E23-405B-810E-E6684105CC49) earlier this week.

I have been experimenting with today plugins and other utilities to see which ones I want to purchase and load.

A number of members here seem to like Spb Pocket Plus (http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/pocketplus/?en) so I am giving it a try.

There also seem to be a number of members who like WisBar Advance (http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/products.php?prod=WisBar+Advance).

I decided that I like Pocket Plus and WisBar as well but I find that there are issues with the two together. With them both installed and running, the Pocket Plus close button context menu doesn't work in open application windows, with the "x"(it does work in open dialogue windows with the "ok").

So, I am in a quandary.

Are there any other utilities that give a cascading start menu in Windows Mobile 5? That might solve my problem.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Well, disable the close button in PPL and you won't have an issue - WA2 has one already :).

Try SmallMenu (http://tillanosoft.com/ce/smenu.html) - it has freeware and shareware versions.

Thanks you two,

I think that I will check out Small Menu. The Cascading menu is probably the thing I like most about WisBar.

One thing about the close button menu on Pocket Plus, I like it better than the menu in WisBar. Pocket Plus allows better customization of the menu (like adding landscape flip). There are other launchers, like iLauncher (http://www.sbsh.net/products/ilauncher/), that I could use but I like the close button context menu in Pocket Plus.

Thanks again,

Actually in Wisbar Advance, you can assign the orientation function (and a whole lot of other things, like cut and paste) to any of the icons on the menubar. I use a tap and hold on the Start Menu for the portrait/landscape switch.

i had that problem too....

there are A LOT of customizations in both apps, wisbar and pocket plus

just play around with the options.

they definitaly work great together, just need tweaking.

Thanks again for all the replies,

After using the trial for Pocket Plus (http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/pocketplus/?en) and WisBar Advance (http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/products.php?prod=WisBar+Advance) for a while (with the close button context menu in Pocket Plus disabled) I decided that I can live with that setup.

Just a few more apps to transfer over from my HP 2215 and I will be good to go (like the grilled Crunchwrap Supreme (http://www.phoood.com/weblog/archives/000089.html), though admittedly, I have never had one)

Those two are great apps but you might want to look at @ a combo of Spb Diary and sbsh iLauncher. I run both on my Pocket PC and they are absolutely great, useful, and pleasant eyecandy.
