Hopefully if you decide to take this MCP exam you'll find it useful in your career (Unlike one of my electives, ISA Server 2000, that no place I worked decided to implement until version 2004 was released!). I've found that employers can be really amazed by the MCP credential, so if you've got the knowledge, get the cert!

I have to admit, I've never considered the idea of a certification for this area of technology, but it makes sense.

Thanks for making mention of it here. Looks like it'll be a worthwhile pursuit.

how does one go about preparing for this test :-\

there are 2 exams

071-500 - WM5 Admin
071-540 - WM5 App Dev

the link is for the App Dev exam.

however, since i have no App Dev experience and was interested in the Admin exam, i played around with the registration website. i was able to use Promo code BTA500 and register for the Admin exam next week.
