I just switched from using a Treo 650 (Sprint) to an HP iPaq 6915 (Cingular). I'd used Palm for a long time, so I'm finding some of the 'quirks' of the PPC/Windows Mobile 5 software really annoying...

Couple of quick questions:
[1] Regarding the Messaging application and reading emails (from POP accounts), am I correct in my understanding that there is no way to have emails deleted on the server when you delete them from the PPC?

I hate coming back to my computer and having to redelete all of the messages I'd already read...

[2] Assuming the question is "yes" to the above, are there any other 3rd party email apps other the FlexMail? (That's the only one I've found so far)

[3] On my Today screen when I am using handsfree bluetooth, the left "function" button continually says "Notification" -- when I check it it tells me "Bluetooth will be used to answer calls". Even after acknowledging this, the "Notification" alert persists until the Bluetooth is turned off.

Is there any way to suppress this notification?

Thanks!

[1] can be done but takes just a little effort. Once deleted from your mail folder, go to the deleted mail folder and delete the e-mail from there as well. Then send/receive. In me experience that has taken the mail off the server. It is actualy a concession. I personally, and I expect many others do not want mail automatically deleted from the server, as ther is no good way to get a record of that e-mail back to the PC other than forwarding it back to that or another address. The option provided lets you choose which mails you wish to keep on the server and which you wish to get rid off. I know many would like the option of deleting all when downloaded, but we don't have that.

[2] se [1] ;)

[3] Can't say I've noticed that on my devices. Just checked my K-Jam to see if maybe i missed it, because if I'm on the headset, the phone is normally put away. Nope it has the normal soft keys. Might be 6915 specific.

Thanks for your thoughts!

I understand the "dont delete from server" default of Messaging. I just found it surprising, cuz every email program I've used (on Windows, Mac and Palm) give you the option of "deleting from server when moved from Inbox). Alas, thanks for the work-around.
