According to this link the successor of the HTC Wizard will be available in the US from Cingular. See it here:

http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/carrier.php?availID=3&provider=14&filter=1

I have searched around but could not find any other web site to confirm this. Does anyone know if this is true? If so when will it be available?

I am on the fence regarding purchasing an HTC Wizard (8125) through Cingular. Once I saw this though now I am tentative. I don’t want to buy that and then the next version comes out a few months later. Especially when this version has double the CPU and UMTS/HSDPA.

Thanks!

I'm also interested in Cingular getting the TyTN. But, I was too impatient to wait, so I found a used 8125 for $175.00 on Craigslist and it'll hold me over until the TyTN or a new WM5 Treo gets to Cingular.

I'm very pleased with the 8125, although I do miss my VGA screen on my old X50v.

I have another post on this topic at smartphone thoughts. Someone there was kind enough to post this link:

From this they are saying September/October. UUUgghh I cant wait!!!

If anyone has any more info please post it. Thanks!

Hi Guys,
If cingular delivers on bringing HTC TyTN to the USA, Cingular can count on me to be the first customer to change to their service.

Yeah, I'll probably switch from T-Mobile to Cingular also. I'm gonna be in Mississippi by then, and looking at T-Mobile's map for (lack of) coverage for that area it would seem I'll have to switch another provider regardless. Anyone know which provider supports HSDPA yet?
