IPAQ 3955 Possible Upgrades

I have a IPAQ 3955 bot it in Sept'02 and it has never been used.
Product Revision Level: 2.5, ROM date: 06/21/02, ROM Revision 1.00.00 ENG, OS Version: Windows CE 3.0. With 64/Mb Ram, Processor Intel(R) PXA250, Processor Revision: B1.

I would like to know how far I can upgrade the Operating System to what level. While it may be the same thing can I upgrade to Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 SE (Second Edition) on this IPAQ 3955?

I believe once upon a time HP had WM2003 upgrades (not SE) for that device, and I think that's as far as they went. Pretty sure it's not available from HP any more, though.

Fortunately, eBay is loaded with people willing to sell ROM upgrades that they didn't make:

They are 2003 upgrades, sans SE. I actually bought one for my 3800 series and it worked.
