Does all pocket pc (CDMA) perform soft reset when the subscriber no is changed?

I want to know that in CDMA , does all the devices perform the soft reset when the subscriber number ( ESN+Phone number) is changed.

I don't think so. I remember programming my 700w, and it didn't soft-reset; at most, the phone portion recycled... I don't do this regularly, though, so it's possible several CDMA phones do.

What exactly is the problem, though? Are you changing your phone's associated account that frequently?
