Ok, heres the deal. I have a samsung i730 with MS streets and trips and a MS pharos receiver. They all work fine. However, I hate MS pocket streets, no routing is kind of pointless. A friend of mine let me borrow his navteq maps cds which is far better and has routing. It installed fine, the samsung runs it, the bluetooth connection to the pharos receiver says it is good, but there is no satelite connection.
To ensure there wasnt anything wrong with the receiver or the bluetooth, i reverted back to pocket maps and the gps works fine. But when i try to run the navteq software the receiver saysa it is fine but there is no connection to a satelite. I am using the same comm that im connecting with with street and maps, but it wont pick up a satelite with navteqs maps.
Does anyone now if the navteq maps isnt compatable with the MS pharos receiver , or if there is some simple step im missing. Im stumped as to why this doesnt work, any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
