Ushi. My pocket pc has been sync with my pc today, but when i go home and sync it with my personal computer, the activesync suddenly can't recognize my device.
Does anyone know what actually happens?

Check how much free memory is available. When memory is low, ActiveSynch won't work. So try permanently deleting messages from your deleted mail folder, deleting temporary Internet files, and clearing history in IE.

It will help if you mention which Pocket PC you have, and what version of ActiveSync you have running.
If you're running Windows Mobile 5.0 + ActiveSync 4.x, then there is a chance that your sync problems are network/firewall-related. This guide (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/help/activesync/default.mspx) is worth a read.

I'm using Activesync 4.0 + Windows 2003SE. I'm very sure that firewall or network isn't a problem in this case because the sync program at my Home Computer had worked smoothly, until i plugged and synced my pocket pc with Office's Computer.

ActiveSynch 4.0 is recommended only for PPCs that run Windows Mobile 5.

If you can, roll back to ActiveSync 3.8 and see if that helps.

I also ran into problems with 3.8 on my 4700 with 2003SE. Although it has worked fine for a long time, it stopped syncing files (no check box). I tried 4.2 and it worked so I tried 3.8 again and all I could get is the "green wheel" to show up but nothing else, no spinning and no window would open. I since have put 4.2 back and it works correctly and syncs files. I do miss the ability to sync wirelessly however.
I'd love to go back to 3.8 but for some reason it doesn't seem to want to work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Awhile back I setup a wireless connection with 3.8 and it has connected perfectly until I deleted 3.8 and downloaded a new 3.8. Is it possible that the settings on my PC and/or PPC are not allowing the new connection to take place because the very first Activesync connection has to be a hard wired connection and I've changed the PC & PPC settings to wireless ? (talk about a run-on sentence. ) The error I see in Activesync is telling me to "verify my dialup or proxy seetings are correct".
In any case, where can I find what my PC and PPC settings should be if I never made the wireless sync modifications ? And, is this why 4.2 works ?

I have been having problems with activeync 4.2 syncing my Eten m600+ recently (for 2 weeks). It stopped syncing. I uninstalled and reinstalled 4.2 but to no luck. made zone alarm friendly but pch..
But, today after I deactivated bluetooth and synced, viola!! it worked. I am not sure if bluetooth is on, whether it interferes with syncing through cradle!

I was wrong! I am unable to connect my M600+ (windows mobile 5.0)again with my pc. Activesync comes up but does not sync. Firewall was deactivated and tried and uninstalled 4.2 and reinstalled but to no avail. Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Give this guide (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/help/activesync/default.mspx) a read. If not your firewall, it could be network setting-related.
