Question about weather radar - on my pc, I can go to Internet Explorer and check out the local weather on www.accuweather.com or on www.weather.com and go to the local radar link and animate it and see the moving radar for my town.

However, I cannot do this on my Cingular 8125. I am sure that the Pocket Internet Explorer is not as capable as my desktop version, so how do I make it capable? Is there some kind of plug in that I need in order to do this?

Thanks!

Often those sites use javascript or java to do the animation. If you want a more capable browser, Opera, NetFront, Minimo, etc. will definitely handle javascript animations. NetFront when registered also would probably handle the Java animations through its JVM plugin.

If you're looking for US radars, you can always use my program RadarWatch ( http://www.cs.pitt.edu/~jmisurda/ppc/index.htm#radar ). It downloads and animates the NWS radars.

Hope that helps.

One website that works well on my PPC is http://bevhoward.com/storm/ppcrad.htm but I don't know how well it would work on your 8125.

I like the other suggestions as well! Nothing like having a bunch of options! :)
