Can anyone suggest a solution to my problem setting up my BT-328 GPS device on a Cingular 8125 PDA? I am using Delorme Atlas handheld 2005
I installed the GPS as described in the manual. I paired the two devices, set the out going port to com 7. (com 6 or com 7 were the only two chooses I had)
Next, I installed the GPSinfo program and checked to see if the BT-328 was connected and working. GPSinfo listed com7 and I was able to see the satellites and get a lock.
Next, I then tried DeLorme to connect. However com 6 or 7 is not listed as a port to use. I only see coms 2,3 and 9 as my only options to use for GPS.
I have performed a couple soft resets and that hasn’t helped either.
I rounded up a older copy of MS streets and installed it. As much as I hate DeLorme, I hate MS Street even more. never the case...MS listed com 7 and connected to the GPS without a problem. Why in the heck doesn't DeLorme list the port I need??!
Thanx
