View Full Version : Alarms for All Day appointments

I could have sworn that under my rx3715 it was possible to change the default alarm time for untimed (all day) appointments from midnight to something more reasonable. For example, if I have a reminder for a birthday (a real, all day untimed event entered in the calendar (Pocket Informant in my case) and not something pulled out of the Contacts database) set for three days, it would sound at 8am three days prior rather than midnight 3 days prior. I don't seem to have that ability on my X51v (and no access to my rx3715 while the boss plays with some .NET programming). Is there a setting I'm missing or an app/tweak I can use?
Thanks,
Josh

IIRC, the Tweaks2K application lets you change some things like when your work day starts and when your alarms/task reminders go off.

I have Tweaks2k2 (3.22.0), and it doesn't have this, at least that I could find (and I've spent about an hour going through every settings looking for it).

I may be missing something here, but if you're using Pocket Informant the setting is right on the appointment details page. I've just set up a dummy appointment and tapped on the "all day" box so the start and finish times disappear. You then have to tap on the bell icon *twice* to bring up the date and time you want the alarm to go off.
Then, of course you're in the hands on the OS's ability to handle the alarm at all <sigh>.
Anyway, I hope that helps.

That does help a little. I had forgotten about that (and a lot of the time I tap too far and have to go past that "specific" setting). I still wish there was a way to have a default time, though. I could have sworn there was a setting in WM2003se for that. Thanks for the memory jog!
