Anybody sync over bluetooth with PC running Bluesoleil?

I just installed Bluesoleil BT software on my laptop so that I can add the A2DP profile to my setup. Everything is working pretty well except that I just cannot get ActiveSync to work over BT any more. Currently I have tried setting everything up on COM port 6 (both in ActiveSync and Bluesoleil) but although on initially starting up the Serial Port service in Bluesoleil, ActiveSync appears to try to connect, it always gives up with a message that the PPC is not properly connected. The XdaIIs reports a live incoming serial port connection, but nothing outgoing. I can't get the connection going from the Xda either. I've pretty much run out of ideas. Has anyone out there had any success with this sort of set up who would be prepared to share their wisdom?

I have had no problem with my ppc (N311 / WM05) and BlueSoleil and activesync 4.2. Create the connection starting from the PPC and choosing the activesync bluetooth profile. Then try to connect starting from the PPC and the bluetooth manager. The bluesoleil icon will tell you which com port the PPC is trying to use. Change it in the configuration section of activesync if this is not the good one. And do a Sync again starting from the bluetooth manager and it should work.

It really should be that easy, shouldn't it? I thought I had cracked it last night when I made sure that only one of the A and B serial port services was started within BlueSoleil and I managed to run ActiveSync over BT successfully. Today, I couldn't replicate that and, having deleted the pairing so that I could start over, I can't even re-pair the laptop and the PDA <sigh>.

I have managed to get speakers working remotely using BlueSoleil and a BlueWalker BT speaker adaptor (bit disappointed that my keyboard media controls don't work when the audio goes this way, but its a minor irritation) so I've some compensation. I'll keep struggling with the ActiveSync over BT issue encouraged by the fact that it does work for other people, so it must be possible to get it working myself.
