Didn't really know where to post this, but....

I am looking for a barcode scanner for multiple types of ppc's. They range from having CF slots, to SD slots, to Mini SD Slots.

Can anyone guide me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Socket Communications is probably your best bet. Their barcode scanners are used in a number of industries such as medical and manufacturing.

I second the Socket suggestion. Have one of their SDIO scanners and it works fine, at least on WM2003SE. I haven't tried it on a WM5 device. You load a driver much like you would on a PC wedge interface scanner and it 'types' whatever it scans to wherever the cursor is, notepad, spreadsheet, whatever. You can set one of the hardware buttons to be the scan trigger.

I don't think I have seen a mini-SD scanner theough.

Great thing about Socket is that they keep their drivers updated. A Windows Mobile 5.0 version of Socketscan can be downloaded from the Support page (http://www.socketcom.com/support/support_bar.asp).

My WM5 devices, save the Jasjar and PDA-N, all have mini-SD, and with those two only having one slot (no memory card when the scanner is in) hadn't even bothered to look. Was fun to use on a 2215 or an X50. Could use the scanner and still had a CF slot to put the data on.
