My wife - who is a doctor - has been a Palm user for years. Mainly, because Palm has dominated the Health profession for some time. I finally convinced her to switch over to a pocket pc recently after her Sony Clie died on her. I have been touting all the things my Cingular 8125 can do and how Windows is starting to really gain a share in the Health Profession.

Now,... I put her in my old HP 5455, which isn't the greatest, I know. But, she has been loving it for a few months now. My only concern is that I can't seem to find her much software to run that is made for her pocket pc. It still seems like most of the health software is made for the Palm OS. Is there a place I can go to find some good software for her to put on this thing? Preferrably the free kind, but I am willing to spend. Although she can use just about any medical application on a daily basis, her actual specialty is Ophthalmology.

www.styletap.com has an emulator that would allow her to port any Palm OS apps without needing to buy additional PPC equivalents.
As for apps, a quick google turns
http://www.medicalpocketpc.com/ as the first hit. There's a lot more. Let your sis do some research

You'll find that most medical applications are now available for the Pocket PC. Visit http://www.skyscape.com/ , http://www.unboundmedicine.com/ , and http://www.epocrates.com/ for a selection. All of my medical applications have come from those sites. They work great on Pocket PCs (both QVGA and VGA), and the auto-update feature is indispensable.
