The initiative called Next Generation Mobile Networks (NGMN) was founded by KPN Mobile, Orange, Sprint Nextel Corp., T-Mobile International and Vodafone. China Mobile and NTT Docomo Inc. have also joined."

It's nice to see our mobile operators already planning for the future. While half the world is still struggling to see the deployment of 3G, the NGMN is now focusing on 4G. NTT DoCoMo has already tested 4G at 100Mbps while moving and 1Gbps while stationary. Yep, that's equivalent to an SR-71 on steroids. 8O
