The PPC platform was doing much of this (as far as staying organized and keeping track of things) way before smartphones and the introduction of Windows Mobile.

The sad thing now with how Microsoft is marketing Windows Mobile as a smarthphone OS is that most people will never really come to know just how powerful it actually is, and will just pass it by as "a cute cell phone".

Some cities let you plug the meter from a dumbphone.

(I realize that the original article was referring to using reminders via BugMe!, but I had (:multi:) to point that out.)
