I have the Verizon XV6700 and was wondering if there is a way that I can download .wmv videos to my phone and save it without it just buffering and playing it choppy.
I played around with the motorola q and when you click on a vid link it saves it to the phone first for smooth playback

It all depends on whether it's streamed or not. If it is, then, you'll need to use separate, third-party tools to save it. The most important of them is the commercial WM Recorder (http://wmrecorder.com/). It works just great.
Alternatively, Enrighsoft's SUPER (http://www.erightsoft.net/Superdc.html) may also be able to save these streams and is free. I haven't tested it though.
