ppc back from the hp shop, cant ROM upgrade...

Hi guys

i recently had to turn in my rx-3715 after i died and since it was under warrenty i sent it to the hp headquarters in holland and got a new (or refurbished one) back. the problem is that the rom is the very early one 1.00.10A, and no matter which rom version i use (i have a few old ones-SP29773.exe, SP29416.exe,SP29225.exe, the hp site only has the latest one...) i get an error 244 "invalid model id"....i am sure they gave me back the same ppc model (even says rx-3715) in the sys info, what can i do in order to use the rom update its really annoying..

You may have to contact HP. Looks like they returned it with a ROM that confuses the upgrade software. :?

There may be unofficial solutions, although I don't know of them, and if you're not careful could cause you more problems.
