I just bought a Sprint ppc6700. My first pocket pc since the Toshiba e805 way back when, and my first ever pocket pc phone edition. So far it's great, however I am having one problem.
Two times now in as many days, the phone radio has been disabled as the device was in it's case, placed in my pocket. Is there any way to key lock the device like you would on a standard bar type cell phone? (or like the hold switch on an iPod)
I tried locking the device with password protect, but it is proving annoying as it does not unlock the device when i pick up a phone call.
Any solutions 3rd party or integrated into WM5 would be great. Thanks.

what's probably happening is you accidentally hitting the END button to long. Most likely while in your pocket, it's being pressed, which when done, puts the phone into flight mode.
2 ways around this.... use the pasasword protect (or device lock) as you said. Yes, it doesn't unlock the phone when the phone rings (which is the way it's suppose to work) but the SEND/END buttons still work when a call comes in.
Using a registry editor you can disable the feature so that pressing the END button for a few secondsd does not put it into flight mode. The registry key to change is:
Go to: HKCU\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction\CDMA\
Change key: FlightModeSwitchByPnHEndKey to 0

no, you would need a registry editor. There are plenty of threads on this forum regarding those <both software & freeware> and their use...

In case you are still wondering, HKCU stands for HKEY_CURRENT_USER. ;)
