I've paid for this and have been using it for a few months now.

In general it works pretty much as advertised. It can slow your system down considerably , so I recommend converting in the late hours or when your machine isn't doing much.

I've been using it to generate files for my video iPod. the quality is decent, though the audio often gets out of synch with the video -- usually this is very slight, but sometimes it's enough to be truly distracting.

Also, supposedly it will clean up its files by deleting the original conversion when copying the vid to iTunes, but mine won't despite the fact that I have the option checked.

SUPPOSEDLY there is a faster version in the works, due RSN. You might want to wait for that to avoid paying any upgrade fee.

I've been using the beta of TV Harmony http://www.tvharmony.com/main/products.php
with excellent results. This beta expires 10/1/06, but it allows scheduled downloads, conversions to various media formats, and pretty good rules based downloads of your MY Playing list.

Just to clarify -- it appears TVHarmony is strictly for Tivo and TivotoGo, while MyTV ToGo is for Windows XP Media Center or tivoToGo

Yes, that's correct. Sorry I didn't make that clear
