Is there anything other than the HTC Universal that has a vga screen?

My E830 has a cracked case so I know I have to repair or replace it soon ... so I'm looking at options.

Yes, that's correct (the Sharp W-ZERO3 comes to mind, which is Japan-only). If you want a VGA device that works anywhere else in the world, the only current choice is the Universal. I have not heard any reports on a successor to the Universal or an alternative device being released at this point.

I always thought the price was way too high for the Universal. Some chinese guys are selling it for as little as $230 on eBay ... seems suspicious to me, but if it's a genuine price and a genuine sale, I'd be very interested at that price!!!!

don't throw away your money. It is an obvious scam. All from the "same" seller in the same location. All from bejing,cgine and all with 10 positive from members ten seperate members that joined the same day. You would have to be a COMPLETE moron to even consider buying from something as obvious as that. Trust me, I have done some research and you won't find a universal under any brandname for under $500. The cheapest I have found it so far was as a vodaphone new for $528, good luck though.

If you peruse around various forums, you may be able to find one in the range of $350-400. That seems to be the going rate for private sales, if you don't want to sift through the dreck on eBay in search of a decent deal.

Hmm I wen't to every possible forum I could think of searching for one and I neevr found one under $500. If you could show me some links that would be great.
