View Full Version : does anyone know how to get a laptop to use my 700W as a bluetooth modem?
I have been trying to get this to work and it won't so I assume that verizon has taken this ability out of the phone. is there a workaround or software I can download to make this work? I am looking for a solution that will work with my all you can eat data, and not eat up my precious anytime minutes.

Have you checked if tethering is enabled from your carrier? Verizon initially disabled BT tethering then decided to allow it after the lawsuit, apparently costs $15 extra. I am not certain that your 700w might not have BT dialup disabled.
On non-disabled/hacked devices, it is as easy as pairing/ exploring the 700w selecting BT dialup as the desired service and applying the proper password.
You will also need to configure the laptop to use a CDMA modem.

THere's a program called PDANet (http://www.junefabrics.com/pdanet/) that is reported to work but I don't know how much it costs.

3 easy steps
1. Switch to Sprint
2. Buy a 700p or 700wx
3. Use as directed
