Availability of iPAQ Mobile Messenger 6900 Series

Does anyone know anything about the release date of the iPAQ 6900 series? Mobile Planet has shifted the date forward several times and is now saying 1 July. Anyone out there have any wisdom to share on the availability of unbranded units?

I sent an email to HP Canada last week. They told me it would be released this summer !! Not very helpful. Could be between June 21 and Sept 21.
Look forward to seeing it though whenever that is.

No, not very helpful at all.

I'm afraid that by the time the device is released, Microsoft will be ready to roll out an OS upgrade, much as what happened with the iPAQ 6500 series.

IMHO, the 6900 series is the best phone edition device out there (or soon to be out there). It's also compatible with a bunch of iPAQ peripherals I've already got. But if a GMS Treo appears before the Mobile Messenger 6900, I'd be likely to buy it.

Thanks ... though when I looked, the price was 389 pounds or US$724.

Field testing with this unit has begun with Cingular. A little buggy so far but it functions better than the HW6515.

Look for a July or August release.
