I think I have a problem with my SD card (1 gig). I lost some data off of it (don't know how), but only part of my data is gone. When checking the properties of the folder "Storage Card", I get the info that the folder is 200 Mb big. When checking the memory throught the device memory reader, it says that 600 Mb of the card are used. Where are those 400 missing Mb???
Any ideas? This whole thing is kinda freaking me out. 8O
Thanks!
Karin

Windows has a command-line utility that might help. If you put your SD card into a card reader, then try in a DOS prompt "CHKDSK G:" (or whatever drive-letter your SD card is), what does the report say?

It's doing all kinds of funny things now, it's checking and found tons of errors and is trying to fix it. I think if I can recuperate at least some of the files, afterwards I am going to reformat the card and reinstall everything from scratch. It must be the overclocking... definitively. Have had that card for two years, and never a problem - until yesterday, when I overclocked. Didn't even go that high, just to 228 Mhz.

I'm sure you realized this, but for others who don't know, CHKDSK will not actually try to fix anything unless you specify the "/f" parameter.
For more info about CHKDSK...

Yes, I did the /f thing, and I got most of my files back *phew*. Then I formatted the card and reinstalled the stuff from a backup file I had.
Thanks for the suggestion. I still don't know why it happened, but I am going to make double-sure I back up everything from now on. Even my storage card.
