A media player with NO buffering

i cant believe all these players are buffering first media player now my favorite tcpmp.... i know as fast as the phone is that video shouldnt buffer so can anyone tell me a software that i can play divx and xvid with no buffering or settings for tcpmp

I'm not sure I get you - if you don't want buffering in TCPMP, why don't you just set it to zero?

Yup - and buffering is mainly a guard against network lags, not local performance problems. I don't recall ever seeing TCPMP buffer (with local files) on my iPaq 1940, so if it does it, it is too fast to be appreciable.

I'm pretty sure q-live is talking about Streaming Media. I too have never seen local content with a need to buffer.

What are some examples of the streams you're having trouble's with q-live? I'm on verizon's EV-DO network and I'll give them a try.

naw, i mean local content of my minisd card.... i thought it was just my old hp 6315 but now it does it on my xv6700 that runs at 416mhz

What kind of content are you trying to play? If it's beyond the capabilities of the SD interface or the player - buffering you will get. From tests, you can probably play up to 1MBit DivX videos with minimal dropped frames. With WMVs, it's substantially lower.

DL divx and xvid files off the web like anime... naruto, bleach and etc

Have you checked the bitrate of these files? Use Gspot (http://www.headbands.com/gspot/) on your PC or TCPMP's internal benchmark function. If the divx files are over 1MBit (video + audio), or the TCPMP benchmark rate is below 100%, then you're out of luck. You're probably safest at a max bitrate of around 800kB, since your processor is slower than mine.

You're better off ripping your own than relying on torrents to give you quality multimedia for your Pocket PC.

its not buffering its kind of like sticking i guess. I dont want to re convert any video cause i may want to put it on my phone on the fly so i dont know when im gonna use it.... plus i figure my phone should be able to handle it.

Not necessarily - some of these torrents contain high bit rate files that your phone will not be able to handle, especially acessing via wifi (very high CPU load). Follow my earlier suggestion - check the bitrate of the files you're trying to play. If it's 'sticking' as you say, then the likelihood is that you will need to transcode your files if you want to play them on your phone.

this will not totally solve your problem, but try a demo version of pocket hack master and see if u can over clock your processor, because when i do that on my toshiba e750 at 472mhz then the divx xvid video play smoother and also set the buffer to any where from 256 to 350 for video buffering. good luck.

On the software - I don't think there's a 'global' buffering setting.
