Does anyone know of an app that lets you create blog posts from your Pocket PC or Smartphone?

There's PocketBlogger (http://www.pocketblogger.net/) and MY|BLOG (http://www.jgui.net/myblog/) - however, blogging services such as MSN Spaces and Blogger allow you to blog directly via a web-based interface.

Pocket Blogger hasn't been updated since 2002 - does it still work? Also, what about blog sites like Typepad and Word Press? Do they have mobile friendly sites?

Oh? PocketBlogger was last updated in December 2005 to add support for MSN Spaces. I'm pretty sure it still works.

TypePad allows you to moblog. Mobile settings appear to be embedded in the control panel (see: http://www.typepad.com/news/screenshots/mobile.html).

With regard to WordPress, Alex King has a WordPress Mobile Edition plug-in available from here: http://www.alexking.org/index.php?content=software/wordpress/content.php

My blogs are built using WordPress and I can make posts using IE on my SP5 Smartphone. Can also post by email, although I don't use this feature. WordPress has worked very well for me.

The two current ones are:

www.uniqueday.net

Anyone tried anything for posting to Live Journal? I know they have an address for accessing LJ from your windows mobile phone, but has anyone come across any apps that allow for posting from your phone?

Sorry to hijack, but I think it's on the same topic!

graceless, I recently discovered a program called ppc2lj (http://community.livejournal.com/ppc2lj/profile/) to allow posting to Livejournal from a PocketPC. Maybe that will help you...

I've not been able to find that blogger interface. Help?

I find it's impossible to log into Blogger through Pocket Internet Explorer. Something about the submit button on the login page doesn't work.

I've tried every program out there, and each of them, for my uses, seems to contain a fatal flaw that makes it unusable (need to have a live connection, no titles on posts, converts HTML to ASCII on edit, etc).

Yesterday I stumbled across a really exciting program called RetroActive from AcquaSys.com. It synchronises with the Outlook journal on the PC, and also synchronises to Blogger!

Except that's in theory. In practice, I'm having problems. Happily, the developer is quick to respond and seems eager to get it working for me.

Oops, this slipped off my radar. Sorry for the late reply.

Here's the Blogger one: http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=1131

And for the sake of completion, here's the MSN Spaces one: http://mobile.spaces.msn.com/?mkt=en-us
