notification sound problems

Greetings all,

I have a new Hx2790 with WM5 and have had a number of instances where the notification sound either didn't or only partially sounded, didn't repeat, etc. Most of the sounds I have tried are other than the 'standard' sounds because:

1, I want them to be different.
2, I need loud obnoxious sounds that can be heard in noisy environments etc.
3, I need sounds that can be heard some distance away.
4, etc. etc.

There are no updates on the Hp site for this unit.

tweaks2k2.net did not seem to help or fix this problem.

Any suggestions?

Any suggestions for a program to allow different sounds for different notifications / select sound based on categories, etc.
