Text Message in O2 Atom after ROM Upgrade

Hi,

Has anyone who has O2 Atom upgraded the ROM to "Xda Atom ROM upgrade (ENG) 20060426B1WWE"?

I have upgraded mine but now I am having problem reading incoming Text Messages as well as sending.

Has anyone having the same issue?

Hi David,

Yes, I had similar problems. My main problem was sending all SMS 2 times. According to my network, it was only showing up as sending once, but all recipients were getting messages twice. VERY FRUSTRATING.

My SMSes would linger in the outbox, and only send once I went into the outbox.

I was really uncertain as to the cause of it - I had done the ROM upgrade AND installed Magic Button on the same day this problem started to occur. So, I uninstalled Magic Button and my problem seemed to go away.

Sorry I can't offer anything more exciting as a solution that that. Only my sympathy cause I know how frustrating it is!

I also intalled Bluetooth Utility after the ROM Upgrade. The problem still there even though I have uninstalled the utility.

I'm re-upgrading my Atom and see whether it fixes the problem. Will let you know.

Yes I have lots of problem after upgrad of latest ROM in May. Initially it
could send sms but then stop for awhile then it started to send sms twice for just one message. After reseting (soft) the atom it now stop working all together for a week.
I called o2 but they just not uptodate with the latest issue.
I believe at least a few people will experience this issue.
I did not understand what is going wrong.
I read the post here and saw someone reinstall the ROM upgrade then
i decided to take a chance. The reason is everytime reinstall ROM,
it means all personal setting background and applications have to be
reinstalled and this take time.
However, I am desperate and so I will reinstall the ROM.

After I reinstall the ROM update, the first thing I tested was the SMS
and it works straight away.
So now I am thinking, it must be one of the third party applications which
might conflict with the new ROM sms software.

Well I hope to find an explanation for this weird sms issue.
