I know that there's not to many a730/W users left out there....I myself have moved on to an Axim x50v, although I still use my Asus for mp3s and GPS. Battery life has always been a problem with this unit...the standard battery life is just way too short. Inspired by Qoo's 2900mAh extended battery mod, I have created a 3300mAh battery for the a730. I did this by combining a first generation ipod 2200mAh battery with the standard 1100 mAh battery of the Asus. I took my Aluminum case and removed the foam and SD card holders from the door, glued the ipod battery onto the case door and attached a lead from the ipod battery to the standard battery. The case is still perfectly functional and there seems to be a tremendous increase in battery life. I am currently running an SPB benchmark of the battery life under normal usage and its still going after around 11 hours! This is a huge increase over the 2 hours and 10 minutes bench mark of the standard battery. Pics and final bench mark results to follow....

Hey, I'm about to attempt this mod. I was wondering tempest, if you could give any tips or pitfalls. Like for example, how would I get the lead wires through the plastic of the Asus back case? Thanks man.
