TechFaith is one of the largest application providers for handsets in the country, and Microsoft is hoping to stake a claim in China's expanding mobile market. The two companies will co-develop smartphone and entertainment handsets, as well as collaborate on sales and marketing initiatives to boost sales of Windows Mobile based devices."

Looks like all the TechFaithWireless (TFW) noise from April may be the real deal. According to the BetaNews report, their devices will only be aimed at the Chinese market, which is a shame, because the global space could definitely do with greater choice.
